Statement by Mr Simon Li, LLD, Chairman,
Insurance Claims Complaints Board.

The Insurance Claims Complaints Board first Chairman was Mr Simon Li, who had been in the judiciary service for 24 years and was the Vice President of the Court of Appeal from 1984-1987 before retirement. He had accepted the appointment as Chairman of the Complaints Board with pleasure as a means to serve the community and considered the setting up of the Board by the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers 'as a form of community service to be rendered free of charge voluntarily by a group of independent persons'.
